Pimp my Shoe cabinet

Remember the ugly shoe cabinet that I showed a few days ago?

I'm talking about this ugly thing :)

Well I've worked on it for a few days now and here's how the work process has been.
I had to first Spackle on many places before I could start with the red color. I have never Spackle so it took a while and I had to ask my husband Tommie for help.
After that I used my stamps and Staz-on ink to stamp the word Shoe cabinet. Well at first it was cabin but then I asked my fellow scrappers for a little help and changed it to cabinet :).

Next step was to do a little scrap booking. Me and Tommie did the LO's together. The black and white PP is Basic Grey, the blue is CS and the red/blue PP is from Danyeela Patterned Paper. I really love this red/blue paper from Danyeela and because I only have one sheet I never wanted to use it because it was soo nice :). Now I can look at it every day *LOL* I fastened the LO's with transparency film that is sticky on one side.

Closer look at the LO.

Final photo. Sorry for the bad quality of the photo. There just wasn't enough light there and I couldn't take with the flash. As always the knobs are not 100% at the same level...

ScrapMuse challenge and an ugly shoe cabinet

This is my LO for ScrapMuse week 3 challenge. The challenge is to make a LO about 3 things you love about ScrapMuse.

Here is my LO.

It's hard to see what it says on the photo but it should be:
1. Best Design team
2. A friendly atmosphere
3. Love the Kit

Yesterday I decided to put my hands on the most ugliest shoe cabin in the world :). It actually stands in my hall and I see it every day. I actually have a matching wardrobe too and they both has to either go or get pimped... I am starting today so lets see how long it takes to do the shoe cabin. This is how it looks like now. Ugly hu??

Cecelia Ahern

A few weeks ago I got to meet Cecelia Ahern talking about her new book A place called here. It was my first time meeting an author and it was so much fun. I'm gonna go more often when my favorite authors come to town. My favorite book by her is PS, I LOVE YOU. It's such an amazing book and I cried all the way through reading it.

Here's my LO from our meeting. Of course I also got an autograph from her but I had only my mobile phone with me and the camera on it isn't the best so I only took a photo of her and it's not the best quality.

Material is from the april Scrapmuse kit.

2 new LO's

This LO is actually 2 challenges in one. Scrapmuse is celebrating 3 years and this week the challenge is to make a LO using 3 only colors. At Beyond Appearances the challenge is to make a LO with title "Laughter is the best medicine" I did this LO without journaling as I think the photo says it all ;). I start laughing just by looking at this photo.

The green and grey PP is Danyeela patterned paper.

This LO is showing me and my sister Evelina. I've used PP and CS from a Scrapmuse kit.

More photos from Brussels

Here are some more photos from Brussels. Either check out the slide show or go directly to my flickr album.

Back from Brussels

Yesterday I came back from a 4 day trip to Brussels. I went there with my friend Charlotte and we had a great time. Brussels is really a nice city with a lot of nice old buildings to look at. Naturally we did a lot of shopping too but we also had a lot of time to discover the city. Here are a few photos. I will upload some more tomorrow from my other camera.

Tag for Cynthia, photo challenge and great music

Today my coworker Cynthia has her Birthday and we are invited to her party. I made this little tag to go with the sparkling wine that we'll bring with us.

I few weeks ago I was in a photo swap challenge and I sent a photo of my cats Decibelle and Dr Snuggles to Anna-Karin Nilsson in Sweden. This is the LO I got back. I think it's wonderful!! There's a tag behind the photo with hidden journaling that says: My beloved cats Dr Snuggles and Decibelle! My allergy forced me to give you away. I miss you so! Hugs Eeva

Now to the music part... anyone heard about 30 seconds to mars? Not only do they sing great, but as the lead singer is Jared
Leto who I kinda had a crush on when he played Jordan Catalano on "My so-called life" they are kinda great to look at too ;) . Ooh and check out their tour plan... they are coming here in a few weeks ;).
