What a weekend!!!
I've had an amazing and fun weekend. Over at SisTV was a crop weekend all weekend. Full of challenges and classes and fun. I've made a lot of layouts and will be posting them here.
One of the first challenges was "Recycle something from your space and use only the supplies you have left over from the last project you were working on."
I have used leftover scraps from a layout I did yesterday. I've altered a making memories package for brads and made it to a key chain for a key.
This is what I made

Materials: My minds eye Ribbon Value Craft, Alpha ?, Rubon Heidi Grace.Brad making memories.

Work in progress
I am working on a wedding gift so I can only show some bits and pieces from it. I wanted to use some Grungeboard on it so I chose a key and a key hole and 2 hinges. I tried out different techniques on it until I found the one that I liked the most.
First I tried copper colored embossing powder but I didn't like the result at all. Firstly you can't see the lovely swirls on the grungeboard anymore and second I got ugly bubbles all the time probably because I was blowing too hot air on it.
Then I came up with something else. I used my Glimmer mist from tattered Angels (copper color) and this acrylic metallic silver tube I bought at a store in Hamburg. I sprayed the mist on the grungeboard and then used my heat gun to blow away/dry the water so that only the glimmer stuff stayed on the grungeboard. Then I just dabbed a little of the silver color here and there where I didn't have so much of the glimmer. I wanted to have an old looking effect almost like silver that has a lot of rust. I am probably not the first to do this so if you have used glimmer mist this way and feel I should link to you just let me know.
Here is a photo of the 2 hinges. The right one is the one with embossing powder. The left one with the glimmer mist. I used the back side of the grungeboard for two reasons. 1 because I had done embossing on the front side and 2. because if you would do swirls on real metal it would probably look more like the backside of the grungeboard.
Here's how the key and key hole look like.

Altered Alpha
I few months ago I altered these two alphas to celebrate me and my husbands 10 years "since our first date" anniversary. I haven't posted it on my blog because it got published in the German scrapbook magazine called Scrap art zine. It was the first time I got published and that's 2 times in one magazine. I also had a layout published which I will post another day.
Materials used: Alpha from Panduro hobby, PP and rub on from Basic Grey (I think), Déja Views: Sharon Ann Timeless: Corrugated Shapes, Heidi Grace: Everyday Grace Orange Flocked Circle Stickers, Fancy Pants: FashionSense: Harvest Felt shapes, also acrylic paint and stamp ink.

Altered notebook and digital photo editing
I had promised that I would scrap something to a colleague of mine. I didn't want to do a layout as I wasn't sure what he would think. He has never heard of scrapbooking so I decided to alter a notebook instead. This is what I ended up doing.
Other than that I got some great news! I got accepted to the Digital photo editing course that is held by Jönköpings university in Sweden. It's a 100% online course which means I don't have to go to any lessons in Jönköping. A few minutes ago I ordered the only book that we are going to need during the course: Scott Kelby, The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers

At one of my scrapbook forums we had an advents calendar swap. I wanted one part to be hand made by me so I created these coffee filter albums.

Sneak peak Closet
Right now the color of the locks are "goldish". It still needs one more coat of white and after that I hope it needs only 2 coats of red color. Photo quality is not that good as the light is very bad. I haven't done anything to the locks yet. They are covered with scotch.

Pimp my Shoe cabinet
Remember the ugly shoe cabinet that I showed a few days ago?
I'm talking about this ugly thing :)
Well I've worked on it for a few days now and here's how the work process has been.
I had to first Spackle on many places before I could start with the red color. I have never Spackle so it took a while and I had to ask my husband Tommie for help.
After that I used my stamps and Staz-on ink to stamp the word Shoe cabinet. Well at first it was cabin but then I asked my fellow scrappers for a little help and changed it to cabinet :).
Next step was to do a little scrap booking. Me and Tommie did the LO's together. The black and white PP is Basic Grey, the blue is CS and the red/blue PP is from Danyeela Patterned Paper. I really love this red/blue paper from Danyeela and because I only have one sheet I never wanted to use it because it was soo nice :). Now I can look at it every day *LOL* I fastened the LO's with transparency film that is sticky on one side.
Closer look at the LO.
Final photo. Sorry for the bad quality of the photo. There just wasn't enough light there and I couldn't take with the flash. As always the knobs are not 100% at the same level...
